Monday 13th July 2020

Good News! Our Saturday morning consulting hour at the Tadley branch is back! Which means you can also collect prescriptions from there between 9am - 10am every Saturday.

We want to say thank you, to all of our clients who have sent us cards, well wishes and cakes! These have helped to keep all of our team smiling through what has been a challenging time for us all.  Latest news. Our Thatcham branch has re-opened and resumed normal opening hours (9am - 6.30pm). The team there are pleased to see some familiar faces again.

Our Tadley branch has also resumed normal opening hours of 9am - 6.0pm. We hope this will be more convenient for you all.

An update on our services Following advice from the British Veterinary Association (BVA) we are now able to resume our routine services. This includes, all vaccinations, neutering and dental work. We hope this will be reassuring to lots of you that we can continue to keep your pets in the best of health.  We now have limited availability for nurse clinic appointments. There is less availability than normal due to our currently reduced nursing team and the extra tasks being carried out by our nurses.   If you would prefer not to visit the surgery for a minor problem with your pet, video consultations are available.

Visiting one of our branches. Firstly if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 we ask that you do not visit our surgeries.  If you are coming in for an appointment at any of our sites, please phone us when you arrive. Our vets will come and find you to have a social distanced conversation, before taking your pet into the surgery for an examination. We do ask that you help us by remaining 2 metres away from our staff and other clients.   Prescription collections from our Newbury branch are available between 9am- 5pm at our prescription collection point. Just approach the window and someone will be there to hand out your items and also take payment from you. You no longer need to call us before you come to collect or when you have arrived.  If you are collecting medication from our Thatcham branch, please call when you arrive and your items will be brought out to you.  If you are collecting medication from our Tadley branch, you can approach the collection point by the front door and someone will attend to you.

Repeat prescriptions

Repeat medications can be ordered online here. Our usual repeat prescription service remains. We are experiencing a really high demand for medications and we are working really hard to maintain our usual time frame of 24 hours from request to the collection. However, we do ask that you do not come to the practice to collect medication until we have told you it is ready. Please call us before collection to pay over the phone. We will then ask you to phone when you have arrived and we will bring it to the collection point in the car park.

Posting of medications is also possible so just let us know your preferences.

We are pleased that we can partially resume our services in preventative healthcare and appreciate that some of you have been concerned about when this might happen. It's important to reiterate though that it is not 'business as usual' at Donnington Grove. We will continue to carry out our social distancing regime to protect our clients and our staff. On arrival to the practice, you must phone us to check-in and then remain waiting outside, at least 2 metres away from other clients, until a member of our clinical team comes out to you. Clients are not permitted inside the building at this time.
