Coronavirus Update

We would like to reassure our clients that we are taking the necessary measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. As a place where members of the public come from all over the area, there is a risk that transfer could occur on our premises. We have increased our cleaning regimes to include regular anti-viral disinfection of all public areas including all commonly touched areas such as counters and door handles. At the practice, you will find hand gel dispensers on the reception counter which we request you to use to clean your hands on arrival. You are also free to use them on departure. Should you feel unwell with any symptoms of coronavirus, such as persistent cough, fever or shortness of breath, or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, please do not come to the practice and enter the building. Please check Government/NHS Guidance for advice. Should your pet become unwell during a period of self-isolation, please call the practice and we can arrange a telephone call from one of our vets to determine the best course of action. If you are concerned you are in a vulnerable group at risk of serious complications from coronavirus and are worried about attending the practice, please call to discuss your concerns. Rest assured we will continue to care for you and your pets as required, but we do need to be considerate of all our clients, some of whom may not be in perfect health or may have compromised immune systems. We want to maintain the practice as a safe place where all our clients can come with confidence that their own health will not be compromised. We also need to protect our staff as if sufficient numbers become unwell, we may not be able to provide a full service. We are aiming to remain ‘business as usual’ at present, but we may need to modify that position as the situation develops. We will continue to post updates on our website and Facebook page if anything changes. By being considerate, caring and compassionate to each other as well as our pets we can get through this.
